Hazel-I wheeled the cart out of the building into Central Park. I know I shouldn't have stolen the cart, but what choice did we have? "TAXI!" I yelled. A cab pulled up.

"Take us to Long Island." I said. I open the door and put Nix in first. I went in next. I didn't want to place Hanson next to her in fear ne might wake up and attack her. "Noonian, come in next and then place Hanson next to you." I say. Crud, the dog. I take out a large plastic bag from my backpack. "Here, put Toby in this, we will bury him later." I whisper. I ran to get Hanson and Nix's backpacks Nix left in an alley, I come back, and pack all the backpacks into the trunk.

I felt horrible about it, but I did as she said. I hold back tears and put on a brave face. I missed Toby. But I didn't let it show.

I slipped my hand into Noonian's. I was scared. What if Hanson's madness can't be cured? What am I thinking? Or course it will! Right?

Hanson was sweating, his face twitching. He whispered, "No please don't..." Suddenly, a look of peace passed through his face.
"Nix," He sighed in his sleep.

Nix looked at Hanson, almost forgetting the fact that he nearly killed her. She then looked back out the window, feeling bitter at herself. She just wanted to get out this taxi. Anyways, right across the street was..wait..a Polish restaurant? "Stop the car," Nix glared at the man. He pulled the car towards the side, not questioning her, since he saw many weirdos in his day. Nix opened the door, taking her backpack with her. She had the cash for food. "I'll get to camp another way. I don't want Hanson waking up and trying to strangle me at first moment." She ran off across the street, entering the restaurant. The scent of food made her stomach rumble, and the pain in her arm returned.

Nix ordered pierogi, setting her chin on the table, she thought about home. It would be nice to go back there. She sighed. She ate her food, leaving the restaurant quickly after paying. She didn't want to go back to camp. At all.

Hanson woke up. His eyes darted around, and not finding Nix, he slumped back in his seat. He rubbed his eyes. "Morning." He said sarcastically.
