The Library

Jadyn slowly stood up. "The girl's right. It is 2013. She finally couldn't keep it in anymore; all of the puzzle pieces finally fit, and she had to confront him. "You were a Nazi, weren't you?" She said it in a confident, clear tone, and made sure to keep her voice low. He's German, war, 1943!

"Maybe," Adrian said with a sly tone, "Maybe not..." Adrian looked over at the other girl. "But I do loath eavesdroppers." He said, a fire ball forming in his hand. He spun it around on one finger and flung it at the other girl, books catching a flame as it passed by them.

Jadyn raised an eyebrow at the fireball that just barely hit the other girl. "What are you doing here in 2013? What happened?" She was honestly quite excited for this story. The only information she ever got about the past were from ghosts, and when she talked to them to other people it looked like she was talking to herself.

"I failed that is what happened." Adrian said getting angry, angry at his himself. "I had the perfect chance but it went wrong!" He said in German, his voice volume rising. Another fireball grew in his hand, and he started throwing it up and catching it.

Jadyn moved backwards, knocking over a small shelf that had a sign on it that said Return Books Here. She didn't know how to calm this kid down before he seriously hurt somebody. "Hey, Hey, beruhige, es ist in Ordnung!" She yelled this, trying to calm him down and grab his attention.


OOC: translation: hey hey, calm down, it's alright

"You wanna know!" Adrian was basically shouting, he flung the fireball to the side, not minding what it hit. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a file of papers. His most prized possession, the cause of all his problems. He tossed the file towards her, "That's what got me here." The file read on top, Operation Overlord.

Jadyn caught the papers, and squinted her eyes through her glasses so she could read the title. She flipped through it a little, trying to focus on just the file. Finally she looked up at the boy. "The Lotus Hotel and Casino? That's how you lived for more then 70 years?" she only knew about it because a son of Poseidon went there once.

"It was the only way to escape, then they trapped me." Adrian sighed and sat back down. "Tht file there could've changed the how the war ended. But I didn't stop it, it happened and June 6 the Allies made their way into France." He started rubbing his scars again. "I failed at what I was raised for and now I can't do anything to change it."

Jadyn didn't know what to do. How do you tell a former Nazi that what he did was bad, and that if he was caught after the war he'd be shot to death? "The past is the past. You can do something different, make new goals. Wait... Please tell me you don't feel the same way, right?" Considering Adrian's age, Jadyn had to guess that he was part of the Hitler Youth Group. Which didn't help anything at all.

Don't talk Aurora.You're going to screw everything up again. She thought as she brushed ash and burned papers off her arm. Aurora got up, gathered her things and left.

"Maybe I've been to change, maybe not." Adrian said slyly, "What I have to worry about is that damn assassin." He said with discontent. "The Russians never forget, they just pass it along down generations. It's rather annoying." He looked into his bottle of medication, "Empty..."

Jadyn felt like throwing up. And asking a boatload of questions. She chose to do the latter. She ran through what Adrian had said- wait, an assassin was out for him? She understood that he was (or used to be, hopefully used to be) a Nazi, but only the really bad Nazis usually had assassins after them, like generals. "Adrian," she began with caution, "What exactly did you do to get an assassin on your ass?"

"Well I doubt it was Kennedy," Adrian said nonchalantly, "So it must of been Stalin's son." Adrian returned the file back into his jacket. "I'm not completely sure if the C.I.A. are on me or not. Who did they blame again, Oswald wasn't?"

Jadyn went digging through her mind about World War 2. He said Stalin, so he must mean Joseph Stalin, aka the former premier of the Soviet Union. And Kennedy... He wasn't in office during the war, so she didn't know what Adrian meant when he talked about him. And she had no idea who Oswald was. "Well, the C.I.A. can't find you in camp. But Adrian, listen to me: what did you do?" she practically begging him for the answer.

"Well what history won't tell you is that Stalin had a son, Demi-god to be precise, just a little foot note really. Victor Stalin age 19, on his way to become head of the soviet congress. Germany had just declared war on the USSR and I was tasked to infiltrate his home outside Moscow..."

Finally, Jadyn couldn't take it. She spun around, found the biggest book she could find, and slammed it onto the table, silencing about half of the library. "Adrian! Listen to me! If you want me to help you out, you have to tell me what you did!" she yelled this, begging him.

Adrian smiled, "I broke into his home, came behind him while he was looking through paper work. I took my rapier," He tapped the hilt on the left of his belt. "I enjoy using the left, but anyways I too my rapier, line it up to the back of his neck. Then I stabbed, right through the back of his neck through the front of his face. I burned his body and mailed the ashes to Stalin."

Jadyn froze. She had heard stories similar to Adrian's but always assumed the ghosts were just screwing with her and trying to make her scared. Now, she guessed those stories were true.  "Why?" she whispered. "Did- did someone make you do that to him? Or did you- come up with it..." she still wasn't scared of the boy, and tried to show it by keeping her chin held high, but she wondered if she could trust him.

"I was assigned to kill him, mailing the ashes was my idea, Stalin was real upset. Seriously he wiped his own son off the records. Though I can imagine Stalin hiring the assassin, had to kill him too. They sent another one though, tricky people they are, those clans. But no matter, I can evade..." Adrian smirked, "Or kill who ever is on me now."

"But, Adrian," Jadyn began, highly overwhelmed by this whole situation. "Stalin died in 1953. Why would people still be looking for you after all this time? Hell, how would they know you were even alive today?" She pointed at his jacket, which contained the file he had recently shown to her. "Do they have another copy of those papers or something?"

"These files are for the military Operation overlord, the CIA was after me so I hid in the hotel. No, these assassins are dedicated, they never forget a target, they are paid in advance because of this. Besides killing Kennedy brought me back on the map, then I had to return to the damn hotel." Adrian scowled, he hated the place.

Jadyn frowned, and dug her nails into the palms of her hands, causing a thin stream of blood to wash down either of her hands. This is not happening, she thought. "If you were in there, how did you get out?" she asked with slight interest.

"Self discipline, besides I was gonna lay low for a while, came out and everything was different." Adrian frowned, "I was angry, wandered America awhile, lashing out at everything. Then I saw a perfect chance to administrate my rage, President Kennedy. Of course afterwards I had to go hide in the hotel again."

Jadyn's mouth dropped open. "Holy sh*t! You're the one who shot Kennedy?" Her mind was raising. She knew she shouldn't had come to the library today, but had thought against it. Now she was wishing she hadn't. Her nails dug deeper into her palms, but she didn't care.

"You act like it's a big deal..." Adrian said nonchalantly, he did't think it was such a big think. People get killed all the time. "Hitler had multiple attempts on his life, so did Stalin, and almost every president of this country has had an attempt on their life."
