The Lake

"Nope I would." She laughed. Marina leaned her head on his shoulder, "And maybe step on you too."

Malecai winced as he thought about it. "Ouch, I take that back. You are mean."

"Good." Marina replied, smiling satasfacorily. "Don't forget that too."

Malecai kissed her forehead and stood up. "Come on, tough girl. Let's get you to your cabin....for real this time."

Marina pouted, "I don't want to though."

"Why? The harpies are going to return." Malecai said ominously.

Marina shrugged, "I just don't want to. The harpies can't eat me, I taste like herbs and rainbows."

Malecai snorted. "Alright. Fine. Let's go get into a dire situation somewhere else then."

The daughter of Iris smiled, "Now you are speaking my language." Marina stood up and shook the dirt off of her legs, "Some where very dangerous./"

"Like where?" Malecai groaned.

"Some where that is not my bunk." Marina replied matter-o-factly. "But not the lake, cause we are allready here."

"Whhheerreeee?" Malecai asked again, stomping his foot.

"Hush, don't be a baby." Marina teased. She flipped her hair over her shoulders and paced circles around Malecai. "I'm thinking, don't rush me." Marina eventually got tired of walking in cirlces and sat down under a tree, "I'm stumped."

Malecai snickered and sat beside her. "Stumped...tree..."

Marina rolled her eyes, "You're so corny." She threw her hands up in the air, "What am I going to do with you? You're just-" Marina paused, she needed to choose her words perfectly, "Odd, wierd, annoying" Marina could've kept on rambling on, but she stopped herself, "It's cute though, I must admit." She cracked her knuckles and leaned her head against the tree, "But yet, you're so complicated. Like they're a bunch a secrets in your head." She picked his forehead for dramatic effect, "Tell me, Professor Malecai, teach me your brain."

Malecai smiled charmingly as she listed his characteristics. "Well, I'm a master at mathematics, astronomy, all that fun stuff. But that's just the educational side." Malecai sighed and sat back against the tree, looking at the sky through the cracks the leaves provided. "I have a lot of secrets about myself, of course, besides of the world...." He looked at her gently and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "There are a lot of wonderful things in this world, Marina....Oh, how can I compare thee to a summer's day?....Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." Malecai quoted softly.

She looked up at him and smiled, "Not all the educational stuff Malecai. I allready know you're a freaky smarty pants." She bit into her lip, "Other things..." Marina closed her eyes for a moment, "See, the educational junk is making me sleepy."

Malecai smiled and hugged her to him. "Sorry, darlin'." Malecai always wanted to say that!

"Ew no. Stop." Marina exclaimed. "But seriously, tell me." Marina looked down at the bark on the tree, "I'll keep on going if you don't tell me."

Malecai snorted and shrugged. "What do you want me to say? That I find you absolutely adorable in an annoying and antagonizing way?"

Marina smiled, "No. But thanks for the compliment."

"How about how much I'm dying to just pull you into my arms again?" Malecai muttered shyly.

"Cute." Marina replied, "But not what what I was looking for."

Malecai looked away, disappointed. "I don't know what you want from me then." He sighed. He was ashamed to like her...mostly because she didn't like him back. If he only had Mason in his head again...Malecai decided to take a little trip to the underworld, or maybe see a Hecate kid or something.

Marina looked up to the sky and smiled, there were so many colors she coulld just explode. Marina layed down on the grass and closed her eyes,still twidiling two peices of grass together.
