Prom 2013 Committee Meeting

Nathan was paying attention, just not talking much. "I may be able to help set up decor. I can reach high places by flying," He said. "I also believe the colors for Steampunk/Victorian are purple or dark blue. Something dark," He added.

OOC: Sorry for not posting. Sick and stuff now.

OOC: Guys? Don't get carried away with ideas for this. We'll be running an art contest for the look of the prom. same goes for a prom photo and a prom dress/suit design. Also, break, please get a small avatar because that one is annoying me because it stretches hte page.

"I'd be able to move heavy stuff around." I offered. I had taken out my book, called 'Bearing an Hourglass' and was now reading.I put it on my chair and had walked over to my group to start talking about ideas for some decorations.

OOC: Where is that contest gonna take place, and how?

OOC: Art contests in the designer forum. I'm sorting the committee into groups atm. I'll post it in a moment. The charries will have to focus on their group mostly but they can help others or ask non-committee members for help.

OOC: Good. I'm thinking about taking two other Chione kids into the play. Are we done for this meeting?

Elaina shrugged. I like to decorate. I am a Hecate child, and I can work with fire. Maybe I could help out some Hephaestus kids make the props and decorations... I have some good ideas. Other than that, I am practically useless. She realized what she had just written, and hurriedly scribbled it out. She glanced at Achaylia nervously. Scolding herself in her mind, she slunk back into her chair. Maybe she was being a bit too discreet.

"You'll be fine. You can decorate, too, then," she smiled. "You'll find that you'll have plenty you can help out with. Just thank the gods I'm not a slave driver like some of the other chairpersons we've had."

Maeve was still sitting quietly. She was probably the only one who hadnt said anything so far. Except for the Elania girl, of course. Maybe she should speak up.....? She wasn't exactly comfortable with the fact that Achalia had told her to be on the food group. She wasn't good at that kind of thing. Well, she wasnt much good at anything, but that wasnt the point. Just so long as she didn't have to cook anything. If she did, well, to sum it up, prom would be ruined. But she could have some good ideas. Which cabin would be best at certain things? She pondered this. She could get sea food from Poseidon kids, pastries and chocolates from Aphrodite..... Maeve opened her mouth suddenly, about to say something, then shut it quickly. She sat back in her chair, stomach churning. Hopefully nobody noticed.

Achaylia looked at Maeve. "Are you OK? If you like I could move you into Entertainment instead of Food."

She noticed how quiet the girl was. "You're an Apollo kid right? Finding some sort of musical act for the prom should be easy for you. You live in an entertaining cabin, after all."

Maeve gaped for a moment, realizing that Achalia had addressed her. "No— its, I, um—" she stuttered. She almost started to say that no, she was fine where she was. She didn't was to present herself as a problem. But it would be worse if she stayed in the food department, in the long run. She shook her head.

"That would be great. Sorry. Thanks."

[color=cyan]'Hi Maeve you will be doing food with me I believe." I say. "I'm Olivia' I continued. I gestured for a handshake.

OOC: Cowgirl, she's in entertainment and there is a 40 word minimum.

Achaylia nodded. "OK. Elaina, I hope you don't mind but you're in food and Ember, you're in decorations. I have a feeling you'll do splendidly with the steampunk theme."

Achaylia's watch beeped. "I gotta run. It's my shift."

With that, she picked up the boxes and kicked Suzy's flute out of her gods damned way as she went out of the room.

Elaina nodded. She had wanted to be on decorating... Oh well. She liked food. And she had some great ideas for some cupcakes. Anyone know when the meetings are? she wrote. She was okay with the people on the team- didn't know them very well- heck, she knew no one here- so she was content.

OOC: Does it matter that much? That's his name, isn't it? Danny is just a nickname.

OOC:No his mom nameed Him Danny But i guess he could be called that as his nickname

OOC: Actually, most people that are called Danny usually have the full name of Daniel.
