Re: Home again
Petra backed up even farther. She whispered, "I'm sorry" but it was so inaudible she couldn't hear herself. She wished she didn't have this fear, but she couldn't change it.

Re: Home again
Acacia threw her bone as hard as she could. It hit the manticore in the middle of her head. Another dart came flying towards her before the manticore turned to dust. The dart hit the wall and fell to the ground. She grabbed it and also picked up a fresh bone, with marrow still inside. She put the poison dart in the middle of the bone. She grabbed another bone and threw it to Petra who had muttered something she didn't hear. More growls came from the darkness. She held her newly made weapon in her hand, waiting for the monsters to come.

Re: Home again
Petra caught the bone and slowly returned to Acacia's side. "I'm sorry about that. I-I'm afraid of being helpless. It's horrible, and I hate having it." She said. "So what next?" She asked.

Re: Home again
"Well, try to destroy all these monsters and get out alive." She said to her as a manticore jumped out from the shadows. Acacia wished she had her knives. She ducked and rolled before stabbing it in the back. It whimpered as it turned around, with the dart still in its back. A dart flew past her ear. She still had her bone. It had only let go of the dart. Acacia was hoping that it wouldn't be immune to its own poison. She hit her bone across its head. She knew that there were other manticores ready to pounce.

Re: Home again
"Okay." Petra said. She tried to sound confident, but her voice still wavered. She threw a boomerang-shaped bone at a manticore and it got knocked out. She retrieved the bone and continued advancing at a slow pace.

Re: Home again
Acacia continued to bash it across its head and try to avoid the flying darts. After ten more hits it finally turned to dust. An adrenaline rush was sent through her body. She grabbed another bone and continued to defend herself. Hit and stabbing. She got a few grazes and minor cuts from the darts.

Re: Home again
Petra followed behind acacia, whacking and stabbing and killing monsters until they reached the light at the end of the tunnel. "Hurry up, I hear more behind us!" She said as more loud growls entered her ears.

Re: Home again
Acacia ran after Petra to the light. It was slightly blinding to her eyes. The growls were beginning to get closer. The two finally reached the entrance of the cave. She looked around for something to block the entrance. Just to the left was a massive boulder. Acacia doubted they could move it in time but they had to try. Acacia ran over and pushed with all her strength to move it. She hoped that Petra would quickly help. She could hear more and more growls.

Petra immediately understood and helped acacia push the boulder over. She saw the manticores hounding at them but the boulder rolled just in time, sealing the monsters in.

Re: Home again
Acacia sighed in relief. She was glad that they were trapped in the dark cave. Though she knew it wouldn't hold for long. "We should leave. We need to find the village and see if they are okay. Plus I need my knives." Acacia explained to her. Acacia was covered in bruises and scratches. Her grey eyes darted around her surroundings. She had no idea where she was. She ran to a nearby tree and looked around more. She couldn't figure out where she was. She began to panic.
Acacia looked at Petra. "Do you know w-where we are?" She asked her, with the bone still in her hand.

Petra looks over at the same tree. "About thirteen miles south of the tribe." She said.

Acacia nodded. At least she knew where they were. "We should start leaving." She said. She could hear the growls in the cave getting angrier.

Re: Home again
Acacia followed quickly behind. Her feet pounding the hard ground beneath her. She leveled out her breathing as she ran. She hoped that it wouldn't be as long as she thought it would be.
The sun was hot and beamed down on the dry land. She could already feel sweat starting to form on her neck.

Re: Home again
Petra and acacia ran for a while but eventually it got dark. "We need to rest, and we'll wake up and continue out journey to the tribe." She said and leaned against the tree. "I hope to see you in the morning." She said and fell asleep.
Petra was back in the manticore's cave. She also happened to be against the cave wall again. She backed against the wall and accidentally flicked her wrists again. The manticore closed in in her and her hidden blades disintegrate dirk dust, and the manticore laughed. It came even closer to her and the rocks on the wall behind her, like magic, closed around her hands and trapped her against the wall. The same thing happened to her feet, and she whimpered. She looked over at where acacia was, hoping for help, but all that acacia did was laugh. The rocks started closing in on the rest of her body, her legs, abdomen, chest, and soon all that was left was her face. The manticore walked up to her and dragged a flaw over her face slowly, making a gash down the right side of her face. She called out for help, but eventually the rocks closed on her face and
She woke up screaming.

Re: Home again
Acacia nodded at the thought of rest. She lay down on the ground, using her hands to support her head. Her eyes began to feel heavy and eventually sleep took over.
She actually had no nightmares, instead small dreams of her visits to France.
It was quickly interrupted by a scream. Acacia instantly sat up and looked to Petra. "Are you okay?" She asked, her voice full of worry.

Re: Home again
Petra shivered and leaned against the tree as acacia woke up. "No...nothing.....nothing but a dream...." She said and leaned against the tree. She fell asleep once more.
Petra was in the cave again. The same scenario happened as before, except the rocks did not swallow her face. The mark ore walked up to her and talked in a deep, deep voice. "I will find you and I will kill you for what you have done. Brace yourself, young demigod. This time, the odds may not be in your favor. Your friend Acacia won't be around forever. And neither will you." It said and Petra cried as the rocks swallowed her face once more as
She woke up screaming once more, clutching the statue in her hands.

Re: Home again
Acacia nodded before lying back down and letting herself sleep once more.
She was back in the cave. The jagged walls pierced her skin and her knives weren't in her hands. She had her hands in chains - chained to the wall. She tried to pull her hands free but all it did was make her wrists bleed. A soft scattering sound echoed in the cave, sending shivers up her spine. It made the hairs on her neck stand and her heart beat ferociously; as if it was a caged lion trying to escape. She could hear it getting louder and louder - as if it was coming closer and closer. Acacia was right. In the darkness she could just see a wave of spiders crawling towards her. Acacia screamed and began to pull harder and harder, trying to free her hands. The spiders were climbing up her legs now; leaving bite marks in her skin. They quickly covered her whole body as she screamed desperately.
Acacia woke up in a cold sweat. She immediately began to rub her legs and arms to get the horrid feeling away. She looked to Petra who had also woken up. "Looks like our minds won't let us sleep huh?" She mumbled to her. She held herself tight in a ball and shivered at the thought of the spiders. She wasn't going to let a stupid dream stopping herself from sleeping. She looked at the night sky. It was alight with stars. They seemed to calm her down as she listened to the small sounds of crickets.

Re: Home again
"I guess." She said and lay back, also looking at the stars. Suddenly, a flash of light flew between the stars creating her favorite constellation-Orion. It even gave details to his face mad clothes. Petra knew what it was. Thanks Stella. She thought to herself, immediately recognizing Stella's beautiful power.

Re: Home again
Acacia laid back on the ground again. She continued to gaze at the bright stars which littered the dark sky. A small smile played on her lips as her eye lids got heavier and heavier.
~Morning~
Acacia had woken up by a loud squawking noise. She sat up and stretched out her tired and stiff limbs. Her bed was uncomfortable but at least she sort of got some sleep; despite the multiple dreams she had. She didn't understand why they were could dreams as they were more like nightmares.
Her stormy eyes scanned the sky but was instantly flashed by the bright sunlight. Her hand hovered a few inches above her face. Now her vision was clearer and she could see more of her surroundings. There was a big prickly bush that was in front of her, three trees to the left and even more trees and bushes behind her.
The squawking sound was heard again. Acacia stood up before brushing off the dust on her pants. She stretched once more before setting out to discover the loud and noisy creature.

Petra woke up and saw Acacia walk away, following the sound of squawking. "Hold up!" She cried and stood up, also flowing the strange noise. "What do you think that sound is?" She asked

Re: Home again
Acacia was slightly frightened by Petra but she kept her position. She shrugged to her question. "I don't know. It could be something ordinary, like a vulture or something. Otherwise it may be something that isn't normal." She answered.
Acacia stepped further towards the noise. No, she didn't know what to expect though she had a feeling it may not be good.

"Maybe a buzzard." She guessed. She had lived here so long but didn't know what it was.

Re: Home again
Acacia nodded. "Yeah, yeah, maybe." She muttered as she felt the squawking getting closer and closer. She walked around the bush to see two birds fighting over a piece of meat. They were indeed buzzards, which she was thankful for.
"Lucky it wasn't a monster." She said. But as soon as she said it she knew she had jinxed it. A growl came from behind them. Acacia turned around slowly.
ooc: It's okay. :)

OOC: ok, wifi is back! (It's a long story, basically, my dad moved of and he just go wifi for that house and I usually run out of data [3g] around the 20th of every month. I just got wifi here. That's the story.
BIC: A slow growl escaped from something's mouth behind Petra. She turned around and saw-a lioness. "It's just the wildlife." She said thankfully and slowly approached the lioness as her cubs appeared from behind a tree. Petra sat on the dusty ground and stroked the animal's soft fur. She looked over to acacia. "Come on over, but approach slowly. It'll deny that you're a threat to her cubs." She said softly as the cubs came around her and scratched her playfully.
